About Ranch House Concerts: Angela and Dave are big music fans. When we first moved into our house -- in the "ranch house district" of Olivette -- we noticed that our spacious living room would be a perfect place to have a house concert. Why not enjoy great live music in the comfort of our own home? After our friends Rick and Nancy began hosting house concerts, we started to host a few ourselves.

Our concerts are invitation-only events. We are fans of live music who want to provide a place where we and other music fans can hear live music in a comfortable setting. We hope to support touring musicians by providing them with a venue where people will really listen to their music, giving them high-quality exposure to sincere music fans.

To receive invitations, email us at melsona@sbcglobal.net, and we will add you to our email list. We generally send out an email notification of our concerts a few weeks in advance. If you are interested in a particular event, we will be happy to send you an invitation if we have more space available. We request that everyone who plans on attending RSVP by email so we have an accurate sense of how many are coming.

“Ticket” prices: We don’t sell actual tickets. Our “ticket” price is a suggested minimum amount to contribute to the artist for their performance. All that we collect goes directly to the performers. We have had people contribute more than the minimum in the past, and all of the extra money goes directly to the performers as well.

Once you RSVP by email, we encourage you to pay for your “ticket” in advance. This gives us a more accurate count of how many are coming, and we don’t have to spend as much time worrying about the money on the night of the show. Our email invitations include instructions on how to pay either by check or paypal.  We keep a list of people who have RSVPed/paid at the door and will check you off as you arrive.

Food/drink: All food and drink is bring-your-own, pot-luck style. We have plenty of coolers and ice available. Keep in mind we feed the performers as well, so a few heartier items are always appreciated!

Location: We are located in central St. Louis County in Olivette. We will send you detailed directions and instructions on where to park when we’ve received confirmation that you are coming.
